What is a study programme in hairdressing?

Study Programme is a short, full-time vocational programme designed to put students in prime position to apply for a traineeship or apprenticeship.

You will:

  • be taught by highly qualified hairdressing staff at state of the art premises
  • follow a programme of essential industry recognised qualifications
  • attend personal development workshops such as interview skills
  • have access to advice and personal support
  • be given the opportunity to attend relevant industry work placements
  • improve your maths and English skills

Mode’s study programme takes between 16 weeks and 36 weeks depending on the needs of the student.  The student attends Mode’s training centre 3 days a week.

Who is eligible?

To apply for a study programme, students

  • must be aged between 16 – 18
  • 19-24 if in receipt of a special educational need statement
  • must have left school
  • shouldn’t yet have the skills needed to start on a full apprenticeship
  • must be committed to progressing onto an apprenticeship in hairdressing or barbering or further education and employment
