What is an apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship is a work-based learning programme which includes paid employment and the achievement of recognised industry qualifications.  Students are employed by a company and work alongside experienced staff to gain skills on-the-job. In addition, they may need to attend training sessions at the Mode training centre on a regular basis throughout their apprenticeship.

Apprenticeships are available at intermediate or advanced level. Mode’s business administration apprenticeship is available at intermediate level.

Business & administration apprenticeships at Mode

Business and administration apprentices usually work within a team or with another member of staff to handle various tasks. These could include: typing up board meeting documents, putting financial information together in spreadsheets, sending the daily post, or faxing and photocopying confidential documents. This sort of work requires a strong sense of responsibility, accuracy and attention to detail.

Mode works with both small and large employers across Liverpool City Region ensuring our apprentices are employed in organisations which will support students throughout their apprenticeship and beyond.
