At Mode we proudly support both staff and learners ensuring a safe and healthy environment in which we all learn and grow, as we all go about our day to day busy life’s it is easy to forget the impact taking time out for a chat with someone can have.
To combat this on Monday 14th May we are launching our “Breakfast and a chat” initiative each morning from 8.00 -10.00 breakfast will be available for our learners with staff on hand for that all important chat.
14th May also sees the start of Mental Health Awareness Week, hosted by Mental Health Foundation this year the focus is on stress. Research has shown that two thirds of us experience a mental health problem in our lifetimes, and stress is a key factor in this.
By tackling stress, we can go a long way to tackle mental health problems such as anxiety and depression, and, in some instances, self-harm and suicide. Throughout the week sessions will be delivered to support how best to handle stress to all staff and learners.
