As we enter into 2018 another exciting year looms for the team at Mode, award of additional contracts and expansion of our private training portfolio has seen additions to the team with the welcome of 5 new members of staff across the company over the past couple of months.
Experienced recruitment manager strengthens business development team
Christine Baldwin brings recruitment experience spanning almost 20 years, having worked for various welfare to work and training providers across the city she brings a wealth of skills and sector knowledge to further strengthen the experienced business development team.
Christine is highly motivated her passion is engaging with organisations of all sizes providing recruitment and training solutions for their business ensuring where required the right candidate is matched to company needs.
Business skills tutor with more than 30 years industry experience
Eileen Burke’s relationship with education and counselling spans more than 30 years. She recently returned from Australia following 8 years teaching the Diploma in Counselling and Community Services working as a trainer/assessor both face to face and online.
Prior to her time in Australia Eileen completed a degree in sociology and PGDE, working for colleges and training providers across the country in the field of education, mental health and care, including youth behaviour management, special education in schools and respite care. Eileen joins Mode as business skills and employability tutor/assessor.
Hairdressing assessor recruited from industry
Zara Worswick joins the hairdressing team having spent the past 17 years working for a well known Liverpool city centre based chain of salons. Her journey with hair started as soon as she left school landing herself an apprenticeship and progressing within the company to Salon Director level.
During the past 2 years she has been teaching in the training academy and is thrilled to have landed her dream job at Mode teaching the hairdressers of the future as one of our hairdressing apprenticeship tutors.
Music production specialists joins music department
Mike Chatterton joins the team with a degree in Music Technology and PGCE, Mike is a music production specialist who has DJ’d for many years around the country. He has taught in various colleges, previously holding the position of head of music at Riverside College.
Mike’s passion is producing electronic music and brings 20 years production experience to the role. Mike will be the lead tutor for level 3 music technology programme.
Newly created attendance officer role
Monitoring of attendance and punctuality of learners is a key role within the organisation and has recently been further strengthened with the appointment of attendance officer Laura Gibson. Laura completed Level 2 in Business Administration at a local college and has worked on various temporary contracts with businesses across the city gaining experience in administration and organisational skills.
Laura is also a qualified florist owning her own small floristry business and a club coach in gymnastics teaching young people one evening per week at her local gymnastics club.
A huge Mode welcome is extended to Christine, Eileen, Zara, Mike and Laura we wish them every success in their new roles.
