This page outlines our alternative curriculum services for schools.
Mode Training has been delivering training to school pupils for 6 years. We currently train 75 pupils in 7 Merseyside schools. We also provide training to a number of young people who have been referred from children’s services and other support organisations.

Location of training
Pupils train at our centre, mixing with employed learners who share their salon experiences.
Key achievements:
- In July 2008 Mode Training achieved the OSLA (Off-Site Learning Award) quality standard which guarantees the quality of our provision for schools
- During the 2007/8 academic year, 98% of our alternative curriculum pupils achieved NVQ level 1 in hairdressing. Many then progressed onto an Apprenticeship at 16.
